About Riley Brown:

I started in the tree care industry in 2000 as a ground worker for tree care company in North Toronto.  After moving to a larger company in 2003 and getting more exposure to all aspects of arboriculture I was sure I had found what I wanted to do with my life. The fact that I could be outside, challenge myself constantly, and learn on a daily basis was very exciting.

A few years into my climbing career, I was introduced to tree climbing competitions by my brother who is also an arborist.  The competitions are based on tasks that we complete at work every day.  So needless to say it gave me plenty of incentive to better my climbing skills.

As with many lines of work, arboriculture is constantly evolving.  There are new climbing techniques and work practices becoming available to use all the time.  That being said, Kelly’s Tree Care is a fantastic place to work because the management/owners make sure all the tools, training, and knowledge are available for its employees so we can continue to grow as arborists and provide the highest level of quality in our work and remain safe doing it.
